Question I throw a low axis tilt, med axis rotation ball with approximately 275 rev rate and have been intrigued with axis tilt. I average 200 in league play and was wondering how to alter my ball tilt. Is ball tilt a product of timing or wrist position or what?
Answer Axis tilt is the product of the position of the wrist at the release point. With the palm facing up, draw a line down the center of your forearm to your middle finger. If that is a straight line that continues to your finger tip, you will have little axis tilt. If the line points toward the 9 oclock position, you will have a lot of axis tilt. Some wrist supports allow adjusting this position so if you cannot do it on your own, you may want to try one of them.
You can also try to keep this line straight in your set up before you start your approach.
Good luck,
Chip
