Question
QUESTION: can you reccomend some heavy oil solid coverstock bowling balls?

ANSWER: The Storm Virtual Gravity, the Roto Grip Cell, and the Brunswick Seige are the first to come to mind.  These are very versatile as well.

QUESTION:
I have yet to discover my actual rev. rate- I am a stroker.
I bowled tonight and I averaged 13.5 mph
my average fluctuates, but I do decently well in high school/scholarship tournaments(most likely more concentration)-190's-200's

this is my current arsenal and what I use them for

tzone - spare ball
blue vibe - dull medium oil with carrydown
ultimate inferno(brunswick rough buff) - dull heavy oil with carrydown
twisted fury of destruction - shiny/pearl medium oil (benchmark ball)

( I have only bowled 3 years and do not have anyone in the family who bowls (competitively), so what I know is from my coach and my teammates' parents.)

what balls will complement my arsenal (pearlized heavy oil ball)?  I threw the virtual energy [try before you buy] and liked the smooth arc reaction, the cell pearl was reccomended, but my coach thought it would be too angular for me. I was told the c-system does not hook as mush as i needed it to in heavy oil

also - what is your main tip for someone who wants to bowl in college?

Answer
The Vitual Energy would be a good ball choice.  Eventually I would also add a urethan ball as well for the shorter oil patterns.
If you want to bowl in college make sure you pay attention to your studies.  It is not all about bowling skills.  I would also watch any college tournaments or competition in your area and pay attention to how the best bowlers play the game.  Try to emulate them.  Consitency is much more important than how many boards you can cover.  Pay attention to your spares and develop that part of your game first.

Good luck,
Chip
