do i look for where more or less oil is in analyzing the lanes?? esxplain....thnaks

Most lanes have more oil in the middle and fronts (heaviest at the foul-line tapering to roughly 36 to 40 feet). Controlling ball reaction means getting a little more oil under your shot, getting more hook means moving out (towards the gutters) or slowing down.
