Question
QUESTION: I want to get a ball that fits my style, but not sure what my options are.  I am about a 205 average, I throw pretty high speed, but with about average revs.  I stand right in the middle of the lane and throw at about the 13 board, so I'm definitely not a cranker.  I typically release the ball at a 45 degree angle.  What do you suggest?

ANSWER: What kind of ball do you use now?
With the limited info, I would suggest balls like the Storm Fast or similar balls from other manufacturers.  They are a good value for the money and have some of the same high performance characteristics of the higher priced lines.

Good luck,
Chip

QUESTION: Hey Chip,

I mostly use the Brunswick Fury and Ebonite TPC.  When I get hit with oily conditions I try to slow down, but sometimes that won't work either because either my accuracy or revs slow down with the speed.  Also, if the Fast is your recommendation, how should I get it drilled?

Thanks again,

David

Answer
If you want a ball for a heavier oil condition, then the two best options would be the Storm Virtual Gravity of the Roto Grip Mutant Cell.  The Fast is better in a light to medium oil condition.  The Furious would be an option too but it is not as strong as the VG or the Mutant, but as long as you would keep the surface of the Furious clean, it would be a more economical choice.

Good luck,
Chip
