Question
For a right-hander, if the first ball on the 1-3 side is called
"Brooklyn", what is it called on the 1-2 side?

Thank you.

Answer
Hi, Ron!

The 'pocket' for a right-handed bowler is on the 17th board, between the 1 pin and the 3 pin. For a righty, the Brooklyn side is the 1-2 pocket. Often in the northeast part of the USA, the 1-2 pocket for a righty is called the Jersey side.

The pocket for a left-handed bowler is the 1-2 and their Brooklyn is the 1-3 pocket.
