Bowling/Splits

Question
I shot a 595 last nite, but had seven splits...I eneded with a 199.7 average last year.  I have the same problem whether it's a 16 or 15 pound ball.  Some of the splits are pocket hits or slightly (only slightly) high hits which I was able to "bust-up" in the past.  I know part of it is due to carrydown, but what can I do with my release to adjust ?  Thumb position ?  Or is the release not the problem ? I've tried several different things.  I cannot figure this one out.  Do you have any helpful links I can look at ? Thanks for your help,Best Regards, Lou

Answer
What kind of balls are you using and what is the surface on them?
If the ball is too strong for the condition, wether due to surface or layout, it will hit weeker than expected.
To combat this, you can try to creat more side rotation so the ball retains its hitting power.  That should help.  It might also be a good thing to polish a ball and see if that helps too.

Good luck,
