What is the best ball to use when bowling on wooden lanes, when use to only bowling on synthetic lanes?

Wood typically is a rougher surface so it hooks more (earlier). Synthetic hooks later, and smooth surface balls gain lots of friction on the smooth surface of the lane.

Layouts that provide earlier reaction may not hit very well on wood. Surface on the ball will slow the ball more quickly on wood.

Your speed, rev rate, strength of surface and layout will effect which ball to use. Thanks for the question.
