QuestionHi, uh i have been bowling for a while now but haven't really been serious until about three years ago. I have learned a lot and gotten way better but the last few weeks i have been having troubles. Now I'm a pretty high rev player and most of the times i really need to throw it out. These last few weeks i have been having troubles doing that and i really don't know why it seems that i just cant seem to get the ball into the 1/3 pocket anymore, I'm getting really frustrated and confused with it so please i need some tips.
AnswerCody,
Can't say what might be happening without seeing you bowl.
But, if you struggle getting the ball right, you might have developed "fast feet". A quicker approach will cause you to get to the foul line a little late and need to pull the ball through to deliver it. Unfortunately, quick feet and pulling the ball down from your swing often results in a tugged shot (pulled into your target).
If this is the case, concentrate on keeping your first step slow and short (your momentum should build as you get to the foul line). Having a bit more time should allow the ball to fall (in your swing) naturally and you'll be more solid and better able to roll the ball in the direction that you want.
Let me know if this helps, if not I'll need more info or a video to get an idea what's wrong. Thanks for the question. Good luck and good bowling.
