Bowling/buying a new ball

Question
I'm buying a new ball for next season. I bowl on medium to heavy oiled lanes. I want a ball that finishes strong and I throw about 12-13 mph.  I use a 15 lb ball and I'd like to stay with it. I'm looking for a brand and a model that will do what I want.  What am I looking for?

Answer
Hi, James,

Not knowing your rev rate, axis rotation, lane surface and age, style of bowling, and competitive level, this question is really impossible to answer with any surety it will be the right for you. Bowling balls are a serious expenditure and you want to make the best decision possible. If there is a pro shop in your center, the pro shop operator would be your best resource. If there is not, other folks have to be getting their equipment drilled somewhere. Ask them for a recommendation about a pro shop (not about a ball). Another alternative for you is bowlingballaresenal.com. They do a really good job of identifying what might be missing from your arsenal. Be prepared to answer a lot more detailed questions... Good luck!
