Bowling/choice of ball

QuestionI'm new to bowling and still very inexperienced. I still cannot get consistent results and get around 120 maximum, with average below 100. I would like to buy my first ball but don't really know what ball to choose. Plastic or urethane? Any particular ball? Could you please suggest anything? I also don't want to spend too much as I'm not professional and play just for pleasure.
AnswerAnna,
I'm a big fan of new bowlers starting out with a very basic plastic ball. The most crucial thing is ball fit. If the ball fits properly, it just hangs in your hand and allows a much less physical/muscled delivery and makes the sport much easier.
Basic plastic is the most inexpensive ball you can get. Fit is the key.
Thanks for the question.
