Question
I have a gravity shift but I'm wondering what would be the best pin location to get the most hook out of the ball. I'm a high rev player. and I throw a 15lbs ball at 17.5 to 18 mph. Right now i have the pin in the middle of the 2 fingers. It don't hook like i want it to i want it to hook more. Can i get some advice for the best pin location?

Answer
Dennis,
Have the driller put the pin 3 and 3/8ths inches from your Positive Axis Point (PAP), with a 1 inch pin buffer. The driller should know what to do with the mass bias, center of gravity, and where to put a potential weight hole.

What is the pin to PAP distance now? Do you have any top weight in the ball after drilling? have you tried adjusting the surface a little?

I will be at BowlExpo for the next week or so. If you can answer the questions and need info back e-mail me at revbowl@gmail.com.

Good bowling.
