Question
I am not a beginner at this, but I have been retired for a few years now. I recently purchased a very expensive black widow, and the gentleman at my local pro shop told me it had alot of bite in it, which is what I like in my shot. I cant get this thing to move an inch. I am used to having to worry about getting too close to the edge, or cutting past the head pin, but never have I had trouble getting the ball to move. I don't know what to do. Can I modfy the ball more than sanding the finish?

Answer
James,
I need to know more about how you roll the ball and how it's drilled.

What did you average before? What ball did you use? Do you throw the ball fast? Ideally, if you could tell me your axis tilt, axis rotation, rev rate and ball speed, I could get a little idea what you bring to the party. Then I'd love to know how the ball is drilled? You mentioned sanding, how much did you change the surface, where is it at now?

Thanks for the question, please help me with more details and I'm sure we can get the ball working better.
