Bowling/PITCH IN BOWLING BALL

Question
I'm left handed. One pro shop drilled a ball 16th right, 7/16 reverse. Another pro shop drilled a ball 3/16 right and 3/8 reverse. I can handle both, but what do I need to do to find the correct on for me.

Answer
Pitches in the thumb and fingers are based on the flexibility of your hand and fingers and your span. Two different drillings are not appropriate.

All of your bowling balls should fit you the same. In fact, your coach should be able to hand you a ball with your eyes closed and you should not be able to tell which it is.

A good Pro Shop operator will, once you have mutually determined the best fit for your hand, how often and where you bowl, your style, etc, have each of your bowling balls feeling great. No calluses, no bleeding, no pain. You should not have to 'handle it'. They should just fit. Find an IBPSIA certified technician in your area. Don't roll with two different fits. The chance of injury is just not worth it.

By the way, don't just choose what ever is 'comfortable'. Comfortable doesn't make it right. That just means you're used to it. I urge you to find a qualified Pro Shop Operator!
