Bowling/timing

Question
Is there a drill that I can do to help correct my timing?

Answer
The best thing to do first is to get some video tape of yourself.  You will really need a view from the side.  Look to see where you swing is on the next to last step of your approach.  The ball needs to be at the top of the swing ready to move forward with the slide foot.  To work on that, use a one step drill.  Tony Reyes used that as one of his trick shots.  Start back from the foul line so you can take your slide.  Place the ball in your starting position and start your armwing.  Once the ball gets to the top of your swing, start you slide foot forward.  The ball should start down at that point.
This will be a good start.  Once you get the feel of that, video tape again so you can see the difference.

Good luck,
