Question
As a novice , currently have an Ebonite Maxim 12#. I want my ball to track down the right side and break into the 1-3 pocket. I'm usually 2 boards in from gutter, will this ball do what I want or need a specific one?

Answer
I would suggest looking at some entry level performance bowling balls.  Brunswick Power Groove, Ebonite Tornado, and the Storm Tropical storms are three types.  These bowling balls will give you more potential to see the reaction you are looking for.  Keep in mind, just because you get a ball with more hook potential does not mean the ball will hook more on its own.  You still have to provide the rotational energy to get the ball to hook.
It will take some getting used to the added movement of the ball, but the benefit will be additional hitting power too.
I would keep the maxim to shoot spares with until you get the feel for the new ball.

Good luck,
Chip
