Bowling/use drill at home to enlarge thumb hole?

Question
I am very new to bowling and bought a ball. The thumb hole is too small. Can I use my personal drill at home to enlarge it? What tools will I need to do this. Can doing this at home damage my ball?

Answer
If you feel the thumb hole is so small that a drill will be needed, I would suggest taking it back to the pro shop.  They should not charge to make corrections.  To do that kind of work at home, you would need a way to lock the ball in place.  Even then, you would only be able to make small adjustments as you would not have a way to match the pitch of the thumb hole.
If the adjustments are small, you can use a round file or a rasp to enlarge the hole and sandpaper to smooth it out.

Good luck,
