QUESTION: finger-tip

Answer
I would take a look at the pitch that you have on the middle finger.  If needed, adjust it towards the direction the finger points in.  I would imagine the finger has been like that awhile but now is getting irritated enough to cause pain.  Even trying a looser insert, if you use inserts, would help.
Changing the pitch should be fairly easy to do.

Good luck,
Chip
