QUESTION: THE LAST COUPLE TIMES OUT SUDDENLY HAVE ACQUIRED THE "SPLITS" THE MOST NOTEABLE ONE HAS BEEN THE 5-7 SPLIT 5 TIMES LAST TIME OUT. ANY IDEAS OR REASONS AND ANY CURE-ALLS FOR THIS.SOMEONE MENTIONED MY THUMB BEING THE CULPRIT??? THANKS MUCH

5-7's show up for a right hander when a weak hitting ball deflects off pocket, half pocket or light pocket hits. Do you throw real hard? Have a very smooth shiny ball? Bowl on a lot of oil? Synthetic lanes? Three piece ball?

QUESTION: i an using the rotogrip mutant cell their latest ball which i guess surprises me. synthetic lanes and i bowl with medium speed with medium oil i would think.thanks

I'd think, without seeing you actually play, the Mutant Cell has picked up a little oil shine and is a little more violent at the pocket. Keep it clean and the reaction down lane should be more predictable. thanks for the question. Happy new Year.
