Bowling/Thumb Swelling

Question
Today, my thumb swelled so much that it couldn't even fit into
the thumb hole. I had it opened up on the sides because my
thumb swelled only on the side. Where would I have to put the
tape when my thumb returns to normal size. Would I put tape on
the side of the hole?

Answer
You would want to place the tape in the front of the thumb hole or towards the thumb nail side, maybe both.  This will help keep the oval shape to the hole and match the shape of your thumb.  In general, place the white tape in the front and black on the thumb nail side of the hole.  There are bowlers that can use white tape on both sides.  Expirment if to find out what works best for you.

Good luck,
