Question Hi Chip. I have an old Red Ebonite Gyro 1 16 lb ball. I've been told that they are extremely rare and also one of the best hook action balls ever made. It has the black core and is in great condition for it's age. It was a house ball and I bought it for $25. I was just wondering exactly how old these balls are and if indeed it's a legend as I've been told. Thanks!
Answer If this is one of the originals, it would have been around since the early 80's. In its time, it was considered a ball with a lot of potential. By today's standards, it is pretty week. Having said that, it could be used on some of the tougher sport and short PBA experience patterns. Good control and good hit.
