Question
i can only bowl with my thumb and index finger and the tip of my second finger , spin the ball that's the only way i can release it.When lanes are dry i bowl very well , but with a medium oil i struggle.Question is .....is there some way to drill the ball to keep it from spinning to far down the lane before it gets into a roll. And would a dull finish ball help me?I now bowl with a 15lb 505c track ball and my average is 195 in two leagues.I have the most trouble in the third game cause the oil moves down.Thank

Answer
I would suggest that you play with surface first.  Surface is the most important part of ball reaction and the easiest to adjust.  The balls layout can fine tune the balls motion.

If you like the reaction of the ball with more surface, you can have one ball that is polished and one that is dull and you should be set.

Good luck,
