Question
what is the difference between a bowling ball with finger inserts and no finger inserts

Answer
It is all about what each bowler likes.  Those that like inserts like the fact they are softer and allows for the fingers to stay in the ball a bit longer.  Those that dont like inserts feel they get a better and more consistent feel at the release.
Personally, I like the inserts better because they are softer and I dont tear or blister as much.  I will say inserts can make you a bit lazy with your release if you are not carefull.

I suggest trying each to decide on what feels best to you.  There is not a way to tell you which is better.
