Bowling/pin position and top weight

Question
I just purchased a Brunswick Ultimate Inferno.  It has a top weight of 3 oz which I believe is used to offset the drilling of the fingure holes.  It has a pin positio of 2-3 inches.  I don't know what that means at all.  Does any of that affect how the ball will hook?

Answer
None of those will really affect the how much the ball hooks.  They can be used to create the shape of the balls hook.  The ball surface can affect the amount of hook more so than anything else.

Your ball driller will be able to help you with the selectin of the layout to best suit your style and the lane conditions you bowl on most.

Good luck,
