Question
HOW CAN I GET A PRINT OUT ON HANDICAP BASS ON AVERAGE. FOR A EXAMPLE, SOMEONE BOWLS A 475, HIS HANDICAP WOULD BE ?

Answer
Allen,
Handicap basis is different for many leagues. It is a percentage of a base number.

If your league's average basis is 210 (it could be anything from 180 to 240 more or less), and handicap percentage is 80% (again anything from 66% to 100%, the old ABC suggested 114% is fair) the handicap for your example would be 41 per game.

475 divided by 3 (average of 158, with no rounding up or down) is the average for the set, with 80 percent of the difference from 158 and 210, but average is accumulated for every pin, divided by the total number of games bowled on an ongoing basis as you bowl a league.

Thanks for the question. If you have specific percentage and base number, I can help you figure it out, if my explanation isn't clear. Bowl well.
