Bowling/RE: Turning the ball with my thumb

Question
What my coach means by "turning the ball with my thumb" is that I am holding the ball with my thumb more than my fingers and turning the ball more with my thumb than my fingers. I also have read an article by Bill Hall that shows an example by turning the ball with your thumb. I have also just remeasured my hand and refitted my ball. I use a finger tip grip. So how do I fix this problem?

Answer
Sean,
Can you tell where you saw the Bill Hall article? Or a way to see it?

I still can't imagine how you could be holding your ball with your thumb, much less, actually turning it with the thumb. A fingertip grip facilitates the thumb exiting the ball before the fingers. So, I can't understand how you can turn a ball when the thumbs out?

When you remeasured and refit your grip, what changes did you make? Gripping and releasing late, and late turn restricting the revolutions, is all I can think you might mean, but I am sorry I'm not sure.

Is it possible to see a video? I don't want to assume anything. Please let me know more. Thanks.
