Question
they say you can use a balancehole  for negative  balance or for positive balance or to fine tune. my ball just got drill ball a4x4 strong  layout but  ifeel im fighting it like the weight is off balance. question is should balancehole be to the left or to the right of thumbhole? ann how many inches apart.   ihave two othr balls with varying distance from thumbhole but both to the leftside though.  so what  do i say to drillman   maybe i am not liked by him  i bowl against him  sois my ball illegalan why wouldnt he do the b-hole

Did the driller sell you the ball?

If they had to do something goofy because of the weights, pin distance or CG location of your ball to make the ball legal, they are just dealing with what the ball is (did you bring it in?).

If he sold it to you and it's no working very well, get in to the shop and explain what's going on. See if they can help? It is to the drillers benefit to have you happy with their work.

Usually, a right handed bowler will have a weighthole to the right of the grip as you look at the ball (the ball rolls to the left of the holes or with a full roller deliver between finger holes and thumb hole). Weight hole location can impede or improve a ball reaction depending on what you want. Can you send a picture with your ball track highlighted?
