Bowling/ball layout
Expert: - 2/9/2011
QuestionI am a low to medium rev, low to medium speed (about 14.5) and would like to know the best drilling layout for the Storm Prodigy on a typical house shot.
AnswerCecil,
The ball should be laid out for your speed and skills and the condition you will bowl on. With not a lot of speed and revs, there better be some oil or the ball will be all done doing whatever long before it gets to the pins.
The dilemma with a THS is too much friction and too little speed KILLS your chance to get ball reaction far enough downlane to be helpful.
What ball have you used that was effective? That's a good place to start. What path to the pocket do you prefer? Drilling a ball and having a ball reaction you're not comfortable with isn't going to help much!
Your question covers so many details and nuances that with very little info it's impossible to guess what might work best for you.
You bought a ball and are hoping it will work on what you bowl on. That's kinda backwards. Determine what ball path and reaction you want and then have your driller help choose a ball and layout to make it happen. Thanks for the question look forward to more info.
