Bowling/Bowling with a sore toe, throwing a loop

Question
I hurt my big toe on my plant foot (it's probably fractured) and I'm finishing out the season with it (and still like to bowl in general).  I guess what I'm doing is using alot of axis rotation and looping the ball (I'm still leaving solid 8's but I digress).  I like to project it more downlane as I feel it will help my pin carry.  Do you have some suggestions on how I can do this?  Would using a lighter ball, a less reactive ball, a certain layout, or something else work.  I'm not sure lofting is a good option with my toe.  Would topping the ball work or would that just make it lose any hook?  I'm using a 16 pound Bedlam and I think standing at 3rd arrow and sending it as far right as possible was working best the other day.  Anyways, I'll quit rambling and let you answer.  Thanks for your help.

Answer
Since I would expect you to heal at some point and be able to throw the ball normally, I would alter as little as possible.  I would not change the release or change the weight.  I would suggest going with a weaker ball, possibly a urethane.  This would allow you to play straighter.  It would also give you a spare ball or dry lane ball after your toe heals.
