Bowling/Shoes

Question
I've been bowling for about 3 years now and have always worn Dexter ambidextrous shoes which have sliding soles on either foot. I was wondering if there is any advantage to buying right handed only shoes, or if it even makes a difference.

Answer
The advantage is better traction for your pushoff foot.  That can create better leverage, balances, and ball direction.  However, if you are a bowler that shuffles your feet, it may take some getting used to as your non slide foot will stick to the approach.  Pete Weber wears shoes similar to the ones you have now and has been very successful.

Good luck,
