Bowling/300 game
Expert: Kyle - 1/12/2007
QuestionI've been bowling for about 4 years now.
i have become a very great bowler. I bowl 7 games a day (1 practice game, and two 3-game series). i carry four balls with me and know each one of them. My average is 223 and i haven't hit a 300 yet. I've hit the first 10 five times i cant seem to hit the 11th one. But i have hit 11 in a row three times for a 290. (spare in the first frame).
What do i need to do get that 11th strike.......it's not that i be nervous.....its like the lanes just all of a sudden my line disappear.
AnswerI really like this question. This question has everything to do with your "comfort zone" and also your mental game. Before I give you any advice, I am going to say that you really need to purchase the book titled Focused for Bowling By Dean Hinitz. With that said, I think that you need to trust your game and make adjustments before it is too late. In other words you need to practice reading the lanes and they way they break down with your particular game. If you can predict how your ball is going to roll down the lane before you even do it, you can make adjustments before finding out the hard way that you need to make that adjustments. To do this, you need to look for little changes in the way your ball reacts. By catching these minute changes and predicting the next ball to go either too high into the pocket or vice versa, you will become an even better bowler. Read that book, take my adivce, and go out there and practice practice practice. You will become a better bowler for it!!!! Let me know if you have any other questions Rell!
