Question
How can I compute my average? It's just as simple as sumarize all my puctuations and divide them by the number of games? but, how many games? all my whole bowling life?

thanks in advance

Answer
Hello,
You have raised an issue that many people don't face.  When you ask someone what there average is, and they only bowl for recreation (not on a league or in tournaments), then whatever they tell you, its false.  People pull these averages out of there asses and it annoys any "real" bowler who hears this.  But, back to your question, you need to be on a league to have a "official" average.  But if you want to just compute your average in open bowling, you just do it as with any other average.  Sum of all games divided by number of games.  If you don't bowl on a league or in tournaments, the least you can do to have a legit average, is actually keep track of your games not just pull numbers out of nowhere (guestimates don't count).  I hope you don't see me as trying to be degrading, but thank you for asking the question!  Take it easy and let me know if you have any more questions.
