Dear Chip,
I had my ball repaired from a "deep circumference scratch" because the ball got stuck somewere on the machine (ball loader machine). After I the ball fixed it wasn't hooking as it used to. I resurfaced the ball with a lower grit to have the ball hook more, but it didn't work. Then i had my ball closed up and drilled it again with a label drill(which is supposed to make the ball more aggressive). I tried the ball and it hooks a little bit more. I tried the ball and I noticed that it rolls over the fingers. I look at the track and it's located in the opposide side (im right handed) between the left finger and right of the pin. Is this rare track location a problem? Does it affect the power when it hits the pins? Is there a way to fix it?

Where was the pin when the ball was drilled the first time? Also, what kind of ball is it?
Is the pin now near your ring finger hole?
If the ball rolls well and hits well, I would not worry about it.
Let me know,
Chip
Dear Chip,
At first, the pin was located just below my right finger and the CG was knocked out just a bit. The ball was a storm Re-Loaded. Now the ball has a label drill and the pin is at bit far away (around 3 cm distance) from my right finger. The ball's track is now located at almost in between the right finger and the pin (at the opposite side from were it should be located). I can see that the ball jumps because it's rolling on the fingers. I can definately feel the diference after and before the ball's damage, it does not hit as hard and does not hook aggressively as before.
AnswerWhen a ball is repaired, some shops will polish the ball to a higher degree than what the box condition is.
I wish I could give you a better answer on the layout and track problem, but it doesnt seem like the pin placement would cause that.
Where was the ball damage located at?
Thanks,
Chip
