Bowling/Bowling

QuestionWhen I'm up on the lane , what do I look at (the pins or my mark on the floor?) THANKS!!!!!
AnswerIt depends on if you roll the ball over or near the mark you look at, or the pins you look at.
If you roll the ball over or near the mark you look at with some consistency, it tells me you have a swing that's under control (controlled by momentum and gravity, not grip pressure). Continue to do it.
Most newer bowlers aim at the pins, because they go through all kinds of gyrations trying to undo problems with their set-up, approach, swing and delivery.
You didn't mention how well you bowl? I don't want to be unduly complicated nor to simple.
The playing surface of the lane is (a little more than) 40 inches wide. Closer targets seem to be easier to hit. But a consistent swing is necessary to connect the dots (your point of delivery, your mark/target, the pins).
