Question
Hello.  I have a question about creating more revs. I talked to a fellow bowler and he said to produce more revs I should have my thumb at 3 oclock and when i release the thumb should go out and the fingers rotate the ball.  My question is how would i release my thumb out? Do i force it out or let the balls force automatically let the thumb out?

Answer
THe best way to create more revs is to get the fingers under the ball more prior to the release.  Then let the ball roll off the hand as the hand goes through the ball and takes the fingers to about 4 oclock.  If you want to work via the thumb position, start with the thumb at 1oclock and rotate to 10oclock as the thumb exits the ball.  Do not try to force the thumb out of the ball.

Good luck,
Chip
