Bowling/Brunswick Drilling pattern

QuestionI just recently bought the new Brunswick Fury and don't know which drilling pattern I should use to match up with my style of bowling. My current ball (Hammer Vicious Pearl) with a 5" piece of tape on the side to PAP to count how many Revs it makes down the lane before making contact with the pins. I found out that it makes about 12-13 revs. I am a tweener type player with ball speed of around 14-17 mph. I want this Fury to save MOST, if not all, of its energy for the pins and want a strong reaction. I check with brunswick and can't decide if I should go with drill pattern 1E or 1L. 1E would make the ball roll earlier and 1F would make the ball go longer before hooking. Brunswick also said that 1E matches up for players who have problems with the ball going too long before changing direction, those who have high ball speeds and/or medium-low RPM. 1L matches up for players with problems with the ball hooking or changing direction too early , those who have medium-slow ball speeds and/or high RPM. Since my ball speed is 14-17 mph and my ball makes about 13 REVS down the lane, can you help me with which drilling pattern best suites me for the reaction I want? It would also help if you suggest other drill patterns besides these 2 (1E & 1L)
AnswerThe Fury is a ball designed for heavy oil patterns and will want to roll earlier than your other ball, no matter what.
If you can, I would place the pin above the ring finger with the CG about 1 1/2 inches to the right of your center of grip. Add a small hole on your axis and have it pitched downward to add some top weight. This will get the strongest move down the lane that you will be able to create.
Unless you are on heavy oil, you may need to polish the ball.
Good luck,
