Question I started bowling in a mixed league this season and one of my problems so far have been keeping up with my third game due to carrydown or transition. My Power Machine is very good on fresh medium to medium oily league shots due to it's skid/flip motion but it seems way too aggressive during transition and I leave alot of ringing 10 pins or 6,10 pins. I tried to adjust my shots several times in the last few weeks without switching balls but keeping getting the same results. I've been thinking about getting the Sure Fire since I heard that it's very smooth and good for carrydown and the specs fit my style perfectly (5.5 PAP, 15-16 mph, stroker/tweener, high track player). Used to be told that particle pearl balls were very good for that but does the hybrid balls that's out now work just as well?
Answer I havent found a condition that my Sure Fire matches up well with yet. I do like it with more surface though which may match up well for what you are looking for. That coverstock seems to work really well with a 1000-2000 surface on it. If you have another ball besides your Powere Machine, try a little surface on it and see if that helps. If not, the Sure Fire should match up pretty well.
