Bowling/Dropping the Ball

Question
I tend to "drop" the ball.  How do I stop this.

Answer
The first thing to check is the fit of the thumb hole.  You want to have a little drag on each side of the thumb as you bring the thumb out of the hole.
If the thumb seems ok, have the pitch checked.  Too much reverse can cause you to lose the ball.
Have the span checked.  Improper span can cause this problem as well.

If your timing is late, you will have a tendancy to release the ball into the lane.  Make sure you push the ball away with the first movement of you right foot...........if you are right handed.

Check your posture at the foul line.  Too much forward bend at the waist will cause early release of the ball too.

Good luck,
