Bowling/Flip Block

Question
I'm trying to get a better understanding of exactly what role/purpose does a flip block attach to the weight block or core of a bowling ball. What is the pro/con to having a weight block/core with a flip block and would this type of feature help keep a stroker style (right-handed)using 14lb
balls only, increase my percentages of staying in the 1-3 pocket ? Thanks in advance!!!

Answer
Adding a flip block will raise the the RG value and helps the ball retain energy longer down the lane.  The breakpoint created is sharper too.  This can be an advantage for stokers, but can also be more sensitive to ball speed and lane condition changes.  It can create more power, but may be harder to control on some conditions.

Good luck,
