Bowling/Groove Reactive Ball
Expert: Russ King - 12/1/2006
QuestionI drilled the Blue & Ivory one w/ the most aggressive drill pattern that Brunswick recomends for bowlers w/ high track and high rpm. Still only flares about 3-4", very easy to control. I was scared to try the less aggressive patterns because of my speed (17mph-18mph). Pins stay very low on the deck. No flyin' dead woods w/ this one, but no 9 pins either. I ordered the Groove Reactive intended for dry lanes today and will probably drill the same way. Would like 2 more in the future, for dry heads and lanes that are breaking 2 early. But that will have to wait until I see how well I do in my brackets!

Thanks Russ! I asked you which ball I might be successful with in hopes of finding a ball w/ similar reaction to my much missed Turbo X. You suggested I try a Brunswick Groove Reactive. I finally had one drilled yesterday. First 3 games 238, 258, 287 - 783. Nine games total, averaged 245. Brand new ball with inserts, drilling and tax only $100.00. Cool. Thanks again!

WHITCH ONE (COLOR) DID YOU DRILL?
Answer When you drill each ball with the same weights with the same brand, they back each other up when you have to change balls. They react the same only less or more depending what you want & eventually youy can change ball in the 5th frame without even thinking twice about what to do.I would when you want one for bone dry lanes to just drill it straight up for maximum controll.
GLAD IT WORKED OUT FOR YOU!
