Question I'm getting ready to replace my EPX-T1 this fall for heavy oil and I've never thrown a asymmetrical ball for heavy/soup oil. Alot of the new stuff coming out are asymmetrical and I'm down to my final choice being the Epic Quest (closest ball I think I would match up well with). My question is there a difference on how a asymmetrical ball would react to those conditions as opposed to a symmetrical ball?
Answer An asymetrical ball will be able to create more flare potential. This will help the ball make an earlier move in heavy oil. It will also make the ball read the breakdown of the lane sooner too. If you go with an asymetrical ball, do not lay it out to its strongest potential. Unless you throw the ball really hard, it may read the lane too soon and not hit as well as you would like.
