Bowling/LANE CONDITIONS

Question
I have a 180 ave, righty, stroker. i use a red zone(16lbs), a Mammoth(15lbs) and a Track voodoo Magic(16) on heavily oiled wood lanes. Using these balls i have to use a more direct angle into the pocket. I'd like some advice as to whether i need to resurface the ball for a deeper hook or just buy a new ball to conquer these lane conditions. If i need to buy a new ball which would you recommend?
thank you

Answer
Fist, the Mammoth is a Particle surface. It soaks up oil like a sponge.Sooner or later, the sponge needs to be squeezed to release the liquid. You need either to buy some particle ball cleaner or a cheaper way to find out is to use Simply Green cleaner.Wrap the ball in a damp Simply Green towel with thumb down.In the morning, soak another towel & wipe the ball down. The stick sludge is the junk from the poars.Wipe down untill the ball is nolonger sticky.

The Voodoo is a reactive. You could sand a coarser surface in the ball to grab the lane sooner(good for a stroker) so it will have more lane to hook.A scoth Brite pad or a wet/dry sandpaper on a ball spinner will work.Ball spinner way is better.

The Zone is meant for med to dry conditions.I would not try anything on this ball for this reason.

I would say, pick the least liked ball between the voodoo & mammoth & try these things on that one.
TRY THESE & IF YOU STILL NEED MORE HOOK, WE WILL GET INTI HAND POSITIONS.
THE LAST THING TO DO IS GET A NEW QUICK FIX BALL THAT MIGHT NOT WORK.
