Bowling/NVS vs BWP on medium oil

Question
QUESTION: I own a TNV (Total NV) for a few months and average about 180. Love TNV because it can go long hence play a tight line to get consistent backend, and my rev is low-medium (2.4 seconds to reach pin). From Ebonite website, it seems like NVS is a better version of TNV. I wanted to get TNV but my proshop driller told me to consider BWP (Black Widow Pearl). The league that I bowl is usually medium oil condition and become dry fast. Would appreciate it if anyone can advise which ball (TNV or BWP) would be more suitable for the medium-dry lane and my long-low-rev-stroker style? Thanks so much, Sean.

ANSWER: I would agree with the Black Widow Pearl.  The NVS would hook sooner than your NV and would be better suited for a medium to heavy oil lane condition.

QUESTION: Chip, there is a ex-pro bowler who bowled at the same league and he own a pro-shop. He recommended FURY Pearl as he has not handled NVS and BWP and added that a couple of bowlers ordered FURY Pearl from him. Hope to get your advice before I finalised my choice of BWP or FURY Pearl. Many Thanks, Sean.

Answer
The Fury Pearl would require you to do some coverstock prep for the drier lane conditions.  The Black Widow Pearl would only reguire prep if you wanted to use it on heavier oil.  I have not seen the Fury Pearl as of yet, and I wont until I go to a trade show the end of this month.  There, I will see both balls go down the lane.  I really like the look of the Black Widow pearl but cant honestly compare it to the Fury Pearl.  My gut feeling would be the Widow Pearl.

Good luck,
Chip
