Bowling/New Ball

Question
Hey, i am looking to purchase a new ball and wanted your opinion. I have a lot of questions so forgive me while i ramble through these:
1) I am trying to decide whether to buy a dry lane ball, or another medium heavy ball.
2) I have an Overtime that I use for heavy oil, but it seems to be dying on me (500 games, do balls usually last longer than this?)
3) My overtime isn't hooking as much and I was thinking maybe I should polish it up and use it for dry lanes, then get a new heavy oil ball (maybe black widow or No mercy)
4) I was also thinking I could sand up my Overtime and buy a Hammer Vibe for dry lanes.
5) What do you think I should do?

If you could answer all these questions, it would be GREATLY appreciated.
                      Thank You,
                                Adam

Answer
I think I would go with sanding the Overtime and getting a vibe for the dry lanes.  No matter how much you polish the overtime, it will not be good for dry lanes.  If you can, treat the overtime with Ebonite's Hook again and it will be like new.

Good luck,
Chip
