Bowling/New ball reaction

Question
Hi,

I recently bought a Hammer Big block diesel which is supposed to hook more. But when i tried it out on 3 different locations i get this reaction: Ball skids starts straighting midlane then breaks NOT intoa hook but into a straight line towards pocket. Does this have to do with my drilling?

Thanks,
Dalon

Answer
It might have too much surface and is rolling out.  Try shining the ball and see if that helps.
If you have very little side roll, the ball will hook like this as well.
The layout, if agressive, will enhance this as well, but I would look at ball surface and/or release.

Good luck,
Chip
