Question
Hi, I just got a Storm fire up pro pin and had it drilled at my local pro shop. My question is it common to have the pin placed about 5 inches below the thumb.
thank you

Answer
This drilling is for a very early roll for a stroker used for a down & in shot.It is not that common a drilling.I need to know how you bowl so I can try to make sence out of this drilling. Are you a,
cranker?,stroker,tweener?
how many revs high,low?
speed fast,slow,med,
do you hit on the fingers or just follow thru?
do you rotate your hand at release?,or stay right behind it?
what line do you use?
where you stand, aim at on lane
is the pin on a direct line from the fingers thru the thumb 5' down?
or is it out near your axis point?
how old are you?
where do you live?
any side weight or thumb or finger weight?
how much top weight after drilling?
did you want a cretain reaction or an all around use for this drill pattern?
All these questions will help me on why the Pro Shop driller drilled it this way.
I have 2 balls drilled like this. One is a shiny surface & a dull.It is for a style like Henry Gonzales or Norm Duke when there out near the gutter pointing it up.The ball needs to be stroked medium to low speed with minimum fingers. You will get a very early roll & it should hold pocket with minimum back end reaction. This is what I have found with a ball drilled this way.
Please let me know how you bowl so I can make sence out of this drill pattern for you.
