Bowling/Repairing an NV

Question
Hi, and thank you for reviewing my question. I have a Total NV that has been used for about 10 games (best ball I have owned, although I last night I threw my first 300 with my original Danger Zone). I threw my NV once last night and it came back with two 3/4" chunks taken out, about 1/8" deep.  The problem is that both are right in my track.  I know the center (not where I bought my ball) will want to repair it.  My questions are: Can it be reliably repaired?  The original cover surface is working perfect for me, how will it change if it is repaired?  Should I push for a replacement ball?  The NV is not inexpensive and I just want to make sure that my relatively wide arc is not going to suffer.  Thanks again.

Answer
If the repair is done correctly, it should not change the way the ball performs at all.  I would want a good pro shop to take care of this though.  If the bowling center does not have one, then request that you be able to take it somewhere else and have them cover the bill.
The out of box finish should be able to be duplicated as long as the proper finnishing materials are used.  The damaged area is not big enough to change the overall performance of the ball.

I know that I have repaired much worse damage than that with no loss of performance.

Good luck,
Chip
