Bowling/Rev Rates

Question
Hi Chip, I run a PBA League and on the fliers they have 3 divisions of rev rates. My question is how can someone figure out rev rates for other people as well as myself. Thanks for your time.

Answer
If you have a video camera and a vcr that has slow motion capabilites you should be able to get really close.  Place a piece of tape from the ring finger to the PAP on the bowlers ball.  This should allow you to count the revolutions from release point to pin impact.  I do not have the formula to convert to RPMs, but low would be below 10 revs, medium would be 10-16, and high would be 17 and over.
