Question Thanks for taking this question Chip..I have read your past q's and a's so I thought I would toss this to you..I am in the process of purchasing a Roto Grip rs-x ball, and wanted to get your opinion on the ball..I have been told that I throw about 18 miles an hr, but I have tried to slow down..thought I would get a ball that goes through oil and medium oil...Im looking at this ball to be able to hook at the back end..your thoughts?
Thanks in advance..

Answer I think that would be a good ball choice for what you are looking for. If you would need to have it hook a little sooner, you would be able to sand it to varying grits to give the ball more bite in the oil. However, doing that will tend to make the ball more arcing on the backend. The out of box finish will give the ball its sharpest change of direction and would be better for a medium type of condition.
