Bowling/Do-do Scale Use

Question
I just "googled" myself into a daze looking for confirmation on how to set up a do-do scale. I can't find any. I know that the grip center and mid lines are used as the reference but can you tell me briefly how the ball is placed in the scale for the three weight measurements? Or perhaps refer me to a website that already does that job?  Thanks, Bill

Answer
mark the center of the grip.  place the front balance on zero and center the center of the grip with the thumb towards you and the fingers away.  balance using the rear weight.  rotate the ball 180 degrees and balance with the front weight.  this will give you the side imbalance.  now center the grip with the thumb to the left and fingers to the right.  place front weight on zero and balance with the rear weight.  rotate ball 180 degress and balance with the fron weight.  this give the thumb/finger weight imbalance.  place the center of the grip facing the weights or the pointer on the balance itself.  balance with the rear weight while the fron weight is on zero.  rotate ball 180 degrees and balance with the front weight.  this will give you the top/bottom weight imbalance.
