Question
I have a bowler with a PAP of H+2 3/4 & V+2 11/16.  He wants a Lane #1 Colbalt Pearl with big backend.  I am having a hard time with the CG and Pin position. I have a Colbalt with a 2" pin that I do not believe I can position to get the right reaction.  If I put the pin 3 3/8 from his PAP, the Pin is above and to the left of his middle finger with the CG just below the bridge.  Will this create to much length? (considering he is a spinner)..Should I order a 4" pin and that would put the
CG closer to the center of his grip?....What kind of ball reaction would I get if the pin was 3 3/8 below his PAP, in the center of his grip and the CG closer to the thumb?
Thank you

Answer
Wow, with a track like that getting lenght should be no problem.  I like the looks of your second layout idea.  I think this bowler will need a bit more help than option one or the option of ordering the 4 inch pin.

What kind of ball reaction would I get if the pin was 3 3/8 below his PAP, in the center of his grip and the CG closer to the thumb?

I think this option would be best.

Good luck,
Chip
